Join us for a discussion about Science Teaching at MU.  The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SOTL) considers teaching as a scholarly endeavor which is an important subject for research and inquiry that results in improved teaching outcomes. This presentation will talk about the increasing SOTL opportunities at the University of Missouri for graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and faculty and some of the challenges that may exist for SOTL in the STEM disciplines. Discussion will focus on the participants’ own goals and experiences with SOTL and examples of novel SOTL research in a STEM discipline on the University of Missouri campus will be presented.
